Meet Anitra McManus
CEO & Founder of EXCELERATE
Anitra McManus is the founder of EXCELERATE Resume and Career Consulting, a company dedicated to helping individuals take control of their career paths and land the roles they deserve. With a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and over a decade of experience in human resources, talent management, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Anitra has reviewed and written countless resumes, giving her an insider’s understanding of what hiring managers are looking for.
As the wife of a 29-year Navy veteran, Anitra has a deep, personal understanding of the unique challenges military spouses face when navigating career transitions, from employment gaps to frequent relocations. After spending more than 10 years out of the workforce due to health challenges, she reinvented herself and successfully re-entered the job market—an experience that fuels her passion for helping others do the same.
She has since written resumes for a wide range of clients—including transitioning military personnel, military spouses, executives, professionals, new graduates, and even high school students looking for internships—because she believes everyone deserves a shot at their dream role.
